Role Overview
The HSE Officer will support safe delivery of landscaping projects across Dubai by overseeing site practices, identifying hazards and helping teams meet health, safety and environmental requirements. A key part of the role is applying practical controls on live-road works, where risks to crews, road users and the public require close attention.
Key Responsibilities
- Visit project sites to check working conditions, spot hazards and follow up on corrective actions.
- Monitor compliance with applicable HSE rules, project procedures and company requirements.
- Deliver safety inductions and explain relevant precautions to employees before work begins.
- Check that teams follow safe work procedures during landscaping and live-road activities.
- Prepare and maintain inspection records, HSE reports and other required safety documentation.
- Assess workplace risks and communicate practical measures to reduce or control them.
- Encourage employees and supervisors to raise safety concerns and maintain consistent safe working practices.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree.
- One to three years of health, safety and environmental experience in the GCC.
- Hands-on experience supporting HSE on live-road projects is essential.
- Landscaping project experience is preferred.
- Experience conducting safety inductions and maintaining HSE records and reports.
- Sound understanding of HSE procedures, risk assessment, hazard identification and compliance documentation.
- Strong communication and organisational skills for working with site teams and maintaining accurate records.
