Housekeeper

Role Overview

This full-time, on-site housekeeper role is based in Kajiado and covers the day-to-day care of guest rooms, living spaces and shared areas. By keeping the property clean, organized and ready for visitors, the housekeeper supports a comfortable guest experience while helping protect household supplies, furnishings and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean bedrooms, bathrooms, dining areas, lounges and other shared spaces according to a daily schedule.
• Dust, sweep, mop, vacuum and sanitize surfaces using appropriate cleaning products and safe working practices.
• Prepare rooms for guests by making beds, replacing linens and towels, and checking that spaces are presentable.
• Welcome guests courteously and respond to requests about room comfort or other reasonable needs.
• Sort, wash, dry, iron, fold and store clothing, towels, bedding and table linens with suitable fabric care.
• Track cleaning products, toiletries and guest supplies, and alert management when stocks need replenishing.
• Check household fabrics, furniture and fixtures for damage or missing items and report findings.
• Keep cleaning equipment and storage areas orderly and secure; promptly report maintenance problems or safety hazards.

Requirements & Qualifications

• At least two years of hands-on professional housekeeping experience.
• Experience in a private household, hotel, wildlife lodge, guest house or serviced apartment is preferred.
• A certificate in housekeeping, hospitality or institutional management is an advantage.
• Practical knowledge of cleaning techniques, fabric care, stain treatment and hygiene procedures.
• Ability to plan and complete daily duties independently, follow instructions and work reliably with limited supervision.
• Polite, friendly communication skills and discretion when handling guests’ privacy and belongings.
