Role Overview
This Graphic Designer turns event and client briefs into visual concepts and finished materials, from early mockups through to files ready for production. Working with sales, marketing, events, and operations colleagues, the designer helps ensure each design reflects the intended brand, works in the event environment, and is delivered accurately to schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Clarify briefs with internal teams and clients, confirming audience, event theme, formats, dimensions, budget parameters, and delivery dates.
- Create concepts, mood boards, layouts, and mockups for corporate events, weddings, product launches, exhibitions, and other functions.
- Design event collateral such as signage, stage backdrops, banners, invitations, programmes, menus, seating plans, name tags, and branded merchandise.
- Produce digital assets for social media, email, websites, and online invitations, and develop visual content for proposals, company profiles, and sales presentations.
- Apply brand guidelines consistently and adapt approved designs for different sizes, placements, and digital or print formats.
- Prepare production-ready artwork, checking dimensions, resolution, colour settings, bleed, file formats, text, dates, names, and logos before submission.
- Manage feedback and approval rounds, coordinate proofs and delivery schedules with print and fabrication suppliers, and release final files only after required approvals.
- Organise briefs, brand assets, working files, and approved artwork; track requests and deadlines; and support event-site visual checks when assigned.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Multimedia Design, Fine Arts, or a related discipline.
- At least 1–2 years of relevant graphic design experience; experience in events, an agency, hospitality, branding, or print production is preferred.
- A portfolio showing branding, digital design, and print layout work; event design examples are an advantage.
- Proficiency with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign, or comparable professional design applications.
- Practical understanding of print production, large-format graphics, and specifications for digital content.
- Strong visual judgement across typography, layout, colour, and brand consistency, with careful attention to proofing and detail.
- Good organisation and time management, with the ability to balance changing requests and tight event schedules.
- Clear communication and a collaborative, client-focused approach, including the ability to respond constructively to feedback and raise production or deadline concerns early.
