Role Overview
As General Manager, you will direct transportation and logistics operations in Abu Dhabi, balancing reliable service delivery with efficient fleet use and cost control. You will also help grow the business by building client relationships and identifying opportunities, while ensuring operations follow applicable UAE transport requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily transport and logistics activities, monitoring performance and resolving operational issues.
- Manage fleet deployment, vehicle performance, and the efficient use of transport resources.
- Lead operational teams and set clear expectations for service quality and productivity.
- Track operating costs and take action to improve cost efficiency.
- Identify potential business opportunities and support the development of new client relationships.
- Maintain existing client partnerships and address service needs in coordination with the relevant teams.
- Introduce practical improvements to workflows, fleet utilisation, and overall operational effectiveness.
- Monitor compliance with UAE transport regulations and internal policies.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience managing transportation or logistics operations.
- A valid UAE driving licence.
- Fluency in both English and Arabic.
- Strong leadership and team-management capabilities.
- Working expertise in fleet operations, vehicle performance, and cost control.
- Ability to develop business opportunities and manage client relationships.
- Sound knowledge of UAE transport regulations and their application to operations.
