General Manager

Role Overview

This senior hotel management position carries responsibility for daily operations across the property, from guest-facing service to the teams that keep the hotel running smoothly. You will lead department managers, uphold service and quality standards, and make commercial decisions that grow revenue while keeping costs under control. The role is central to guest satisfaction, team performance, and the hotel’s ability to meet its operational targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct day-to-day hotel operations across all departments, ensuring service delivery meets established quality and guest-experience standards.
• Lead, motivate, and hold department heads and operational teams accountable for performance, scheduling, and service excellence.
• Build and execute revenue-driving initiatives across rooms, food and beverage, events, and other hotel income streams to hit commercial targets.
• Manage budgets, monitor expenses, control costs, and review financial performance against operational targets.
• Maintain luxury hospitality standards by inspecting guest areas, reviewing feedback, and resolving escalated guest issues promptly.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, hygiene, licensing, and hotel policies across the property.
• Analyse operational and financial reports, identify gaps, and implement improvements that raise efficiency and profitability.
• Represent the hotel with guests, suppliers, partners, and local stakeholders to strengthen reputation and business relationships.

Requirements & Qualifications

• At least 10 years of experience in hotel management, including proven experience in a 5-star or luxury hotel.
• Degree or diploma in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, or a related field.
• Demonstrated leadership of hotel departments, teams, and daily operations at a senior level.
• Proven ability to drive revenue, control costs, and achieve operational targets.
• Excellent knowledge of luxury hospitality standards, guest experience, and service excellence.
• Strong communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to perform under pressure.
