Position: Finance Manager
Remuneration: Kshs. 200,000 – 250,000

Location: Mombasa Road, Nairobi
Role Mandate
We are seeking a high-caliber Finance Manager to steer the financial direction of our manufacturing operations. This is a critical leadership position responsible for safeguarding the company’s financial integrity through rigorous planning, cost management, and strategic reporting. You will serve as a key advisor to the Board of Directors, providing the data-driven insights necessary to optimize resource allocation and ensure long-term fiscal sustainability. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of manufacturing cost structures and the strategic acumen to drive efficiency across the entire value chain.
Key Areas of Responsibility
Strategic Financial Planning & Analysis

Direct the annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes to align with corporate growth objectives.

Develop sophisticated financial models and projections to evaluate the feasibility of new business initiatives and capital projects.

Lead capital budgeting exercises, performing detailed cost-benefit analyses to guide investment decisions.

Provide senior management with variance analysis and actionable insights to navigate market fluctuations.
Operational Cost & Inventory Oversight

Oversee comprehensive cost accounting systems to ensure precise product costing and margin protection.

Drive aggressive cost-reduction strategies within production environments without compromising product quality.

Manage the working capital cycle, optimizing inventory levels to enhance liquidity and minimize holding costs.

Implement robust internal controls to safeguard assets and streamline accounts receivable and payable workflows.
Reporting, Compliance & Risk Governance

Prepare and present high-level monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with international accounting standards.

Ensure 100% compliance with all statutory, regulatory, and tax requirements (KRA, NHIF, NSSF, etc.).

Coordinate internal and external audit processes, serving as the primary point of contact for auditors and regulators.

Identify and mitigate financial risks through the implementation of rigorous internal control frameworks and policy oversight.
Candidate Requirements
Academic & Professional Background

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related Business field.

Professional Qualification: CPA (K) or ACCA (fully qualified or finalist).

Tenure: Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in finance, with a substantial portion spent within a manufacturing environment.

Technical Expertise: Proven mastery of cost accounting, manufacturing processes, and financial systems (ERP).
Critical Skill Set

Analytical Prowess: Advanced financial modeling skills and proficiency in Excel for complex data interpretation.
