- Collaborate with R&D and product design teams to test, debug, and validate control implementations in real-world environment settings.
- Perform hardware probing, board-level testing, and firmware flashing (ESP32, Atmel AVR, NRF series) using specialized diagnostic tools, multimeters, and oscilloscopes.
- Conduct flow, power, and efficiency testing on solar water pumps and power systems to ensure strict performance compliance.
- Identify hardware defects and firmware bugs, conduct root-cause analysis, and maintain prioritized issue tracking logs and release notes.
- Maintain complete technical documentation, changelogs, and device history records across pilot and production phases.
- Communicate test findings clear and concisely to engineering teams and key stakeholders via reports and technical presentations.
- Provide escalated technical support for field pilots and lead knowledge transfer/training to operations and support teams during commercial launch.
Does This Sound Like You?
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Mechatronics Engineering (Master’s degree preferred).
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in testing embedded hardware and firmware systems.
- Proficiency in reading PCB schematics, probing circuits, and operating equipment like oscilloscopes and multimeters (Eagle CAD experience is a plus).
- Solid understanding of solar energy systems, DC/DC converter topologies, and off-grid solar hardware design considerations.
- Demonstrated ability to log, track, and troubleshoot firmware bugs on microcontrollers (ESP32, Atmel AVR, NRF51/52).
- Experience working in the off-grid solar or solar water pumping sector is strongly preferred.
- T2/T3 class license from the Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) is a plus.
- Strong analytical, root-cause troubleshooting, and task prioritization skills in a fast-paced environment.
