Role Overview
This position sits at the intersection of brand marketing and online retail, acting as the bridge that turns national brand ambitions into campaigns, content and assortments that actually perform on e-retailer platforms. Day to day, you will shape how our brands show up across pure-play and multichannel online stores — from product detail pages and theme stores to retailer media buys and channel-specific promotions — while feeding commercial insight back into the wider business unit. Your work directly determines whether shoppers find, choose and repurchase our products online, which makes this role central to the growth of the e-commerce channel.
Key Responsibilities
- Set the local "perfect store online" standards and embed them across the e-commerce sales teams, then track online sales fundamentals to confirm they are being met.
- Define local e-retail content requirements and make sure optimised content — A+ modules, SEO-driven product descriptions, brand and theme stores, and visibility banners — reaches sales teams on schedule.
- Translate national brand plans into e-commerce-specific concept sells that equip sales managers to negotiate strong support plans with e-retailers.
- Own retailer.com media planning and activation end to end, including agency direction, strategic briefs, KPI setting and continuous ROI improvement through measurement and analysis of campaign results.
- Manage full product detail page execution to lift conversion, average order size and brand positioning, and continuously analyse and refine product placement on retailer webshops.
- Develop e-commerce-specific promotions and pack formats that accelerate channel growth, working with local brand, media, in-house agency and product supply partners.
- Drive online shopper behaviour understanding — using web analytics, competitive landscape review and customer feedback — to optimise purchase and product interaction paths, and to surface assortment gaps or emerging categories and products.
- Act as the primary liaison between local brand teams and the local e-commerce sales team, articulating the channel's 4P needs back to the broader business unit and owning local e-commerce reporting and KPIs.
Requirements & Qualifications
- BComm degree in Marketing or an equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 3+ years in a shopper, customer or e-commerce-focused role, ideally within the health and beauty FMCG sector.
- Online merchandising experience using advanced inventory control and merchandising applications is strongly preferred.
- Strong analytical capability with the ability to translate complex data into strategic ideas and concrete actions.
- Working knowledge of e-commerce best practices, digital marketing trends, brand websites, email, CRM and web analytics.
- Proven influencing and negotiation skills, able to resolve issues and conflicts in a win-win manner and drive results through others.
- Collaborative working style with a demonstrated ability to deliver exceptional results through cross-functional teams, internally and externally, at all levels.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills.
