Role Overview
As Director of Organisational Change & Engagement, you will guide how Plan International plans, communicates and embeds major change across a complex global organisation. Working with senior leaders and transformation teams, you will bring strategy, culture, employee experience and communications together so colleagues understand what is changing, have a voice in the process and can adopt new ways of working.
You will establish the frameworks and capabilities that help change take root across regions, country offices and functions, while advising leaders on how to build trust, clarity and engagement through periods of transition.
Key Responsibilities
- Set the organisation-wide approach to change, including practical frameworks, governance and guidance that support connected, people-centred transformation.
- Work with senior leaders and programme teams to develop change strategies, assess impacts and risks, and plan for readiness, adoption and sustained results.
- Build and support a network of change ambassadors across regions, country offices and functions to encourage local ownership and bring feedback into central planning.
- Develop leaders’, managers’ and teams’ ability to communicate change, guide colleagues through uncertainty and embed new behaviours and working practices.
- Shape a clear organisational narrative that links Plan International’s strategy, transformation, culture and impact; advise senior leaders on communicating priorities and engaging employees.
- Guide the Internal Communication and Engagement team in aligning its work with organisational change priorities, and strengthen employee listening and dialogue so insight informs decisions.
- Use engagement, feedback and adoption evidence to assess progress and improve change approaches; ensure useful knowledge and learning are captured and accessible.
- Promote digital resources, toolkits and collaboration platforms that help managers and teams navigate change with accessible, self-service support.
