Role Overview
You will be the central link between our clients and the operational teams that keep cargo moving across the UAE. Day to day, you will answer shipment-related queries, track consignments, and make sure every customer receives accurate, timely updates from booking to final delivery. Your work directly supports client trust and repeat business, which is essential for a logistics company operating in a fast-paced regional trade hub.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries by phone and email about shipment status, transit times, and delivery schedules.
- Coordinate with internal operations, shipping lines, airlines, and local transport agents to ensure seamless cargo movement.
- Prepare and verify shipping documentation, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, packing lists, and customs-related paperwork.
- Proactively update clients on any delays, route changes, or documentation issues and recommend practical solutions.
- Maintain accurate customer records and shipment logs within the company’s tracking and booking systems.
- Resolve service complaints by investigating root causes, liaising with relevant departments, and following up to confirm client satisfaction.
- Liaise with warehouse and customs teams to align pickup, clearance, and final delivery timelines with customer expectations.
- Support the billing process by confirming completed shipments and forwarding accurate cost details to the finance team.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of customer service experience in a freight forwarding company operating in the UAE.
- Solid understanding of freight forwarding workflows, including import/export procedures and common shipping documentation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; additional languages are a plus.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple shipments and client requests simultaneously.
- Proficiency in standard office software and familiarity with logistics or CRM systems.
- Availability to join immediately, as this is an urgent requirement.
