Job Description
Role Overview
This role helps plan and deliver physical education and sports activities, while preparing assigned teams for training and community competitions. It combines coaching and programme support with responsibility for participant safety, including maintaining clean activity areas and providing first aid or lifeguard assistance when required.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and oversee activities in the sports disciplines assigned to you.
- Help develop and deliver physical education and sports programmes.
- Coach assigned teams and guide their preparation for competitions.
- Supervise teams during training sessions and sports activities.
- Organise team participation in competitions run by community organisations.
- Prepare reports on participation in the sports disciplines under your care.
- Keep sports areas clean and safe for use.
- Provide first aid and lifeguard services during sports activities as needed.
Requirements & Qualifications
- A diploma or equivalent qualification in a relevant field from a recognised institution.
- At least three years of relevant work experience.
- Physical and mental fitness to carry out the duties of the role.
- Knowledge of information and communication technology (ICT).
- A Higher National Diploma in a relevant field is an added advantage.
