Role Overview
This role centers on designing and executing change strategies that drive the smooth adoption of new processes, technologies, and organizational shifts. Day to day, you will assess the human and operational impact of each initiative, craft targeted communication and training plans, and work closely with programme managers and executives to keep change efforts aligned with broader project goals. Your work directly reduces resistance, boosts employee engagement, and ensures that each change delivers the intended business results.
Key Responsibilities
- Build comprehensive change management plans for each programme, integrating change workstreams into overall project timelines and milestones.
- Conduct impact assessments across people, process, technology, and culture dimensions to understand the scale and complexity of changes.
- Map and manage the complete stakeholder landscape, from senior executives to front-line staff, regulators, and customers, and create tailored engagement strategies for each group.
- Design and execute multi-channel communication plans (including executive messages, town halls, newsletters, FAQs, and intranet content) that guide stakeholders through awareness, understanding, and commitment stages.
- Work with HR to perform training needs analyses, track completion rates, and evaluate knowledge retention through post-training assessments.
- Define and monitor change adoption metrics and KPIs, report progress to the Strategy and Change Management Office, and lead post-implementation reviews to capture lessons learned.
- Maintain governance frameworks, templates, and toolkits aligned with PROSCI, ACMP, or equivalent methodologies, and escalate change-related risks to Risk and Compliance teams.
- Deliver regular status reports (weekly, monthly, quarterly) and conduct periodic post-implementation reviews to support corrective actions and sustain adoption.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, IT, Project Management, Organizational Psychology, Finance, or a related field (essential). A postgraduate qualification in Change Management or Organizational Development is desirable.

- Minimum 6–8 years of relevant experience, with at least 3 years specifically in change management.

- Familiarity with the Kenyan and East African financial services regulatory landscape (CBK, CMA, IRA) is a strong advantage.
- Solid understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, PRINCE2) and proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and PM tools like MS Project or Smartsheet.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, commercial acumen, and the ability to use data to drive change decisions.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and interpersonal abilities, with a knack for adapting style to build rapport across cross-functional teams.
- Resilience and agility to pivot plans in response to regulatory changes, market disruptions, or executive direction, while maintaining high attention to detail and structured documentation.
- Integrity and a results-oriented mindset focused on continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
