Role Overview
This entry-level role provides supervised, practical experience on construction sites. Working alongside a senior officer, the appointee will use architectural and engineering drawings to support site work and help assess minor repairs and alterations to existing buildings.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake on-the-job training at construction sites under the direction of a senior officer.
- Read and interpret architectural drawings to understand building layouts and construction details.
- Interpret engineering drawings relevant to site activities.
- Assist with checking proposed or ongoing minor repairs to existing buildings.
- Assist with checking alterations to existing buildings.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Diploma in Building and Civil Engineering, Construction Technician Part III, or an equivalent relevant qualification.
- The qualification must be from a recognized institution.
