Role Overview
This role supports the practical management of livestock, farm production or related natural resources, drawing on training in animal care, agricultural operations or land management. The appointee will use their technical knowledge and computer skills to contribute to accurate records and effective day-to-day work in the relevant area.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with routine activities related to animal health, husbandry and production.
- Support farm operations, including livestock care and the practical application of farm management methods.
- Contribute to dairy production or agribusiness activities where relevant to the assigned work.
- Help implement apiculture, range management or natural resource management practices as required.
- Maintain clear, accurate records of assigned activities using appropriate computer applications.
- Apply relevant technical procedures and report operational issues to the appropriate colleagues.
Requirements & Qualifications
- A diploma from a recognized institution in at least one of these fields: Animal Health and Production, Animal Husbandry, Dairy Science and Technology, Agribusiness, Animal Production, Farm Management, Apiculture, Range Management or Natural Resource Management.
- A certificate in computer applications from a recognized institution.
