Advertising Officer

Role Overview

As Advertising Officer, you will find and secure outdoor media opportunities that help Twyford International Kenya Ltd build brand recognition and reach customers across Kenya. You will work in the field to assess locations, agree terms with media and property owners, and coordinate installations, while keeping placements compliant, on-brand, and within agreed costs.

Key Responsibilities

• Survey busy roads, commercial centres, hardware clusters, tile showrooms, construction areas, and other promising locations for outdoor advertising.
• Assess sites for billboards, wall and building branding, shopfront displays, and related advertising formats.
• Negotiate placement fees, rental terms, payment schedules, and contract durations with space owners and suppliers.
• Arrange and follow through on painting, signage fabrication, branding, and installation work, coordinating the parties involved.
• Develop working relationships with media owners, landlords, contractors, branding agencies, and other suppliers.
• Research local markets and competitor activity to identify useful placements and new advertising possibilities.
• Check that advertising sites and materials meet applicable local requirements and the company’s brand standards.
• Track placement details, expenditure, and campaign activity, and prepare reports to support management decisions and marketing campaigns.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business Administration, Communications, or a related discipline.
• At least two years of relevant experience in advertising, outdoor media, brand activation, trade marketing, or a comparable commercial role.
• Practical experience with field-based marketing, securing advertising space, coordinating suppliers, or negotiating commercial terms.
• Strong communication, negotiation, relationship-building, and organisational abilities.
• Good judgement when selecting high-visibility locations and the ability to manage several projects at once.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and confidence preparing reports.
• A valid driving licence and readiness to travel extensively within assigned markets are advantageous.
• A proactive, commercially aware approach and comfort working in the field.
