Duties and responsibilities
Duties and responsibilities will entail: -
- Filing tax returns;
- Updating the cashbook;
- Maintaining cash books, ledgers, vote books and registers;
- Preparing and verifying vouchers and committal documents;
- Keeping safe custody of council’s accounting records and documents accounting assets.

Requirements for appointment
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have: -
- Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines: - Commerce; Finance; Business Administration (Financing and Accounting option); Economics; Statistics or its equivalent qualification from recognized institution;
OR
- Certified Public Accountants CPA (II) or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution; and
- Proficiency in Computer Applications.
