[We’re Hiring | Accountant – Logistics Industry
We are currently recruiting an experienced Accountant for one of the leading logistics companies operating across the UAE and Africa, known for its strong presence in the distribution of wines and spirits. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing complete accounting operations, ensuring financial accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting while supporting business and operational decision-making. Candidates must be currently based in the UAE.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage end-to-end accounting functions including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Ledger
• Perform bank, supplier, customer, and intercompany reconciliations
• Handle monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings and prepare accurate financial statements
• Analyze Balance Sheet and Income Statement variances and evaluate financial performance
• Prepare cost sheets and support SKU pricing and margin analysis
• Manage cash flow, working capital, and provide financial planning support
• Coordinate annual audits and ensure timely closure with external auditors
• Ensure compliance with UAE and Africa tax regulations, including VAT and Corporate Tax
• Oversee stock reconciliation and conduct ad-hoc stock audits for overseas locations
• Coordinate monthly payroll activities with HR and Compliance teams
• Support ERP implementations, accounting controls, and other ad-hoc finance projects
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
• Professional qualification such as CA Final, ACCA, or Cost Accountant is preferred
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience in accounting or finance roles
• Strong understanding of accounting standards, taxation, and financial reporting
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as Tally, Retail Pro, or Microsoft Dynamics
• Advanced Excel skills with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
