Description:
A growing Freight Forwarding & Logistics company is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accountant to join its finance team in the United Arab Emirates. This opportunity is ideal for candidates with a solid accounting foundation and a willingness to contribute to a fast-paced logistics environment.
The selected candidate will be responsible for managing daily accounting operations, supporting financial reporting, and working closely with operations, pricing, and customer service teams to ensure accurate shipment costing and invoicing. Previous experience in the freight forwarding or logistics industry will be considered an advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
• Prepare invoices, payment vouchers, and financial reports.
• Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow.
• Reconcile customer and supplier statements.
• Process freight-related billing and cost allocations.
• Coordinate with operations, pricing, and customer service teams regarding shipment costs and invoicing.
• Ensure compliance with UAE accounting regulations and company policies.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a Related Field.
• 1–2 years of accounting experience, preferably in the Freight Forwarding or Logistics industry.
• Knowledge of freight forwarding operations, shipping documentation, and UAE VAT regulations is an advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
