Al Basma British School is currently looking for a UAE National female Accountant to join its team in Abu Dhabi. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented and motivated finance professional who is looking to build a rewarding career within a dynamic educational environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the school’s day-to-day accounting functions, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring compliance with internal policies and UAE financial regulations. Previous experience in a school environment is an advantage but is not mandatory.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage daily accounting and finance operations.
• Maintain accurate financial records and prepare financial reports.
• Support budgeting and financial planning activities.
• Process invoices, payments, and account reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and UAE financial regulations.
• Assist with financial documentation and other accounting-related duties as required.
Requirements:
• UAE National (mandatory).
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar accounting role.
• Previous experience within a school environment is preferred but not essential.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
Strong knowledge of:
• Accounting principles and financial procedures
• Budgeting and financial reporting
• UAE financial regulations and compliance
