Accountant

Role Overview

This Accountant will help keep the finance operations of a Dubai healthcare organization accurate and on schedule. The day-to-day work spans transaction processing, reconciliations and financial records, while also supporting period-end close and reporting so the organization can maintain dependable financial information and controls.

Key Responsibilities

• Process accounting transactions across at least two or three areas such as payables, receivables, general ledger, cash and treasury, or payroll.
• Reconcile accounts, including bank balances, and investigate differences to keep financial records accurate.
• Organize invoices, payment records and other supporting documents for reliable recordkeeping.
• Assist with vendor payments, customer collections and petty cash administration.
• Update fixed-asset records and prepare accounting schedules as needed.
• Contribute to month-end closing tasks and the preparation of financial reports.
• Follow applicable accounting principles, internal controls and organizational procedures.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related discipline.
• One to two years of relevant accounting experience.
• Hands-on experience in two or three functions among Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Cash and Bank or Treasury, and Payroll.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and accounting or ERP systems.
• Sound understanding of accounting principles, reconciliations, financial documentation and internal controls.
• Good written and spoken English and Arabic.
• Experience in a hospital, clinic, medical center or other healthcare organization is preferred.
• Experience with bank reconciliations, petty cash, supplier payments, customer collections or fixed assets is an advantage.
