Accountant

Role Overview

As an Accountant supporting a construction and scaffolding business in Umm Al Quwain, you will handle routine accounting work with a focus on customer invoicing, payment collection and tracking materials. Your work will help keep financial records dependable and give the team a clear view of outstanding balances and inventory movements.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and issue customer invoices accurately and within the required timeframe.
• Track unpaid invoices, contact clients about overdue balances and follow up persistently on collections.
• Maintain inventory records so material movements and available stock can be monitored.
• Keep accounting entries and supporting financial records accurate and up to date.
• Use an ERP system to support invoicing, inventory control and other accounting processes.
• Assist with daily accounting tasks and related administrative work.
• Coordinate with relevant colleagues and clients to resolve routine questions about invoices, payments or recorded materials.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Previous accounting experience in the UAE.
• Strong working knowledge of accounting principles, financial record keeping, invoicing, inventory records and collections.
• Experience using ERP software; familiarity with Odoo is preferred.
• Fluent English communication skills. Hindi or Urdu language ability is an advantage.
• A valid UAE driving licence.
• Well-organised and persistent, with confidence in following up with clients about payments.
• A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline is indicated as an estimated qualification.
