Role Overview

We are seeking a highly creative, trend-savvy Fashion Designer to steer our bespoke garment conceptualization and production pipeline. Your primary objective is to engage private clients, capture their personal style preferences, and translate their individual visions into premium custom apparel. This position bridges high-end styling consultations with hands-on technical workshop supervision; you will guide each piece from early sketch generation and fabric selection through to precision pattern drafting, custom fittings, and final quality control approvals. The role demands an articulate professional with a sharp eye for garment architecture who can comfortably direct atelier tailors while maintaining strict delivery timelines.

Areas of Accountability

Design Conceptualization & Client Consultations

• Interface directly with premium clients to interpret their stylistic preferences, occasion needs, and anatomical proportions into definitive design concepts.
• Generate detailed physical sketches, flat technical illustrations, or digital mood boards that reflect accurate garment layouts, seamlines, and drape characteristics.
• Guide clients on optimal garment construction styles, color theory application, and textile choices to ensure durable, flattering outcomes.
• Run ongoing local and international market evaluations to identify emerging runway trends, textile developments, and silhouette variations.

Material Sourcing & Technical Specifications

• Research, identify, and source high-quality fabrics, unique trims, functional closures, and internal structures within specific design parameters and cost budgets.
• Author clear technical specifications sheets, including comprehensive body measurements, grading rules, patterns, and assembly notes for production tailors.
• Formulate and catalog accurate client size files, grading profiles, and specific styling adjustment histories for future order retrieval.

Production Supervision & Fitting Audits

• Partner closely with workshop tailors and sample makers to guarantee that specialized design schematics are interpreted with maximum precision.
• Lead all physical client fitting stages, assessing structural balance, movement comfort, and seam hang to direct necessary tailoring tweaks.
• Execute thorough pre-delivery quality checks, reviewing alignment, stitch tension, pocket symmetry, and internal lining finishes against premium benchmarks.
• Coordinate multiple custom client orders concurrently, structuring tailoring runs to guarantee on-time collection dispatches.

Brand Integrity & Account Care

• Ensure that all custom-tailored merchandise mirrors the established house style rules, finish parameters, and overall aesthetic values.
• Deliver top-tier client management throughout the styling journey, providing clear status updates, collection handling instructions, and post-purchase follow-ups.

Skills & Experience Required

Minimum Entry Criteria

• Academic Foundation: Degree or Diploma in Fashion Design, Textile Technology, or a closely related creative discipline from a recognized institution.
• Studio Longevity: Minimum of 3 to 5 years of progressive fashion design experience operating inside a busy, commercial custom-wear studio or luxury fashion brand.
• Technical Domain Acuity: Complete functional mastery of garment construction rules, fabric behaviors, draping techniques, and pattern manipulation.
• Trend Fluency: Strong vocabulary covering historical and contemporary fashion developments, fabric composition classifications, and luxury style cues.

Tactical Competencies

• Interpersonal Charm: Polished verbal communication and diplomacy skills, with a proven ability to confidently advise executive clients and navigate sensitive styling concerns.
