Description:

Allegheny County is seeking a detail-oriented Data Entry Operator to support its administrative and assessment operations in Pittsburgh, PA. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate data entry, record maintenance, and timely processing of property-related information within the county’s Integrated Assessment System.

The ideal candidate will play a key role in maintaining updated electronic records used by various county departments and the public. This position requires strong attention to detail, the ability to manage repetitive data tasks efficiently, and a commitment to accuracy in a structured government environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Update real property and appeal-related records

• Enter and verify data in the Integrated Assessment System (IAS)

• Schedule appeal hearings including valuation, exemption, and abatement cases

• Prepare and distribute notices for hearings and final decisions

• Coordinate with county departments and assist public inquiries

• Maintain accurate and organized digital records

• Perform general clerical and data entry duties as assigned

• Support administrative operations within the Board of Property Assessment Appeals and Review

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• Minimum 1 year of basic data entry experience

• Familiarity with Integrated Assessment System (IAS) preferred

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

• Ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines

• Good communication and teamwork skills

• Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods

• Strong knowledge of:
