Description:
SSM Health is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Scheduler I to join its healthcare operations team in Wisconsin. This role is ideal for individuals who are organized, patient-focused, and interested in supporting healthcare services through efficient appointment coordination and administrative support.
This position plays a key role in managing patient scheduling, coordinating referrals, and ensuring accurate data entry into electronic medical systems. The Scheduler I will work closely with patients and healthcare providers to ensure smooth scheduling operations and timely access to medical services.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate scheduling and referrals with healthcare providers and external services
• Collect patient and provider information to create and confirm appointments
• Obtain approvals for schedule changes, cancellations, and updates as required
• Maintain and update provider contact information regularly
• Enter and manage patient appointment data in electronic medical systems
• Follow established protocols and ensure compliance with healthcare procedures
• Perform additional administrative duties as assigned
Requirements:
• High School Diploma / GED or equivalent work experience (up to 10 years accepted)
• No prior experience required
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to follow procedures in a structured healthcare environment
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with data entry systems
• Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
