Job Overview:
A Kajiado-based organization is hiring a Finance Officer / Front Office professional to manage accounts, cash handling, and front desk operations while delivering excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Receivable Management
Prepare and issue invoices to clients and follow up on outstanding payments
Reconcile accounts to ensure all transactions are accurately recorded
Maintain detailed records of receivables and monitor overdue accounts
Cash Handling and Banking
Receive, record, and securely manage cash, cheques, and electronic payments
Conduct regular bank deposits and reconcile bank statements with internal records
Manage petty cash, ensuring proper usage and timely replenishment
Financial Reporting and Documentation
Prepare regular financial reports, including income, expenses, and cash flow summaries
Maintain accurate accounting records and documentation for audit purposes
Support budgeting and forecasting by providing relevant financial data
Compliance and Internal Controls
Ensure all financial activities comply with company policies and statutory regulations
Identify and report discrepancies or irregularities in financial records
Assist in internal audits and implementation of financial control measures
Reception and Client Services
Welcome visitors, clients, and suppliers in a professional and friendly manner
Manage front office operations including calls, emails, and general inquiries
Schedule meetings and maintain an organized and presentable reception area
Administrative Support
Monitor office supplies and coordinate procurement with vendors
Prepare internal communication such as memos and correspondence
Provide clerical support across departments as needed
Customer Experience & Relations
Respond promptly to client inquiries and provide appropriate solutions
Maintain a professional and positive attitude in all interactions
Collect client feedback and escalate issues to improve service delivery
Key Requirements:
Diploma or Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
At least 2 years of experience in finance, accounts, or front office roles (hospitality experience is an added advantage)
Solid understanding of accounts receivable, cash handling, and financial reporting
Strong customer service and front office management skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and accounting software
