Description:
A company involved in infrastructure development is currently looking to hire a qualified Civil Engineer – Roads & Highways with strong experience in infrastructure construction and earthwork operations. The ideal candidate should have a solid technical background in road construction projects and possess the ability to manage planning, coordination, and site supervision tasks effectively.

The selected candidate will play an important role in overseeing road and highway construction works, ensuring that projects are executed according to approved engineering standards, schedules, and safety guidelines. The role requires close coordination with site teams, surveyors, contractors, and project stakeholders to ensure that work progresses smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, coordinate, and supervise infrastructure works related to roads and highways, including earthworks, grading, subgrade preparation, and pavement construction
• Prepare, review, and verify construction drawings, technical specifications, and method statements related to road and infrastructure works
• Develop detailed project schedules, track construction progress, and ensure that work activities follow the approved timeline and project plan
• Coordinate with survey teams to verify site layout, levels, alignments, and proper setting-out of construction works
• Monitor and review earthwork quantities, including excavation, filling, compaction, and material usage to ensure project efficiency
• Assist with preparing cost estimates, Bills of Quantities (BOQs), and quantity take-offs for infrastructure and earthwork-related tasks
• Track construction activities and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports for project management and stakeholders
• Support the tendering process by assisting with technical documentation, bid preparation, and reviewing project submissions

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution
• Minimum 5 years of experience working on roads, infrastructure, and earthwork construction projects
• Experience in project planning and scheduling tools such as Primavera P6 or MS Project
• Ability to perform quantity take-offs and analyze earthwork volumes accurately
• Familiarity with QA/QC procedures, construction standards, and safety regulations within infrastructure projects
