Job Description:

Sharjah Metal Coating & Industries (SMCI), a pioneer in powder coating and surface treatment since 1976, is seeking a Junior Accountant to join our finance team. This role is ideal for a motivated, detail-oriented individual looking to grow in a well-established industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle daily data entry, invoicing, and bank transactions.

• Maintain accounts payable and accounts receivable records.

• Assist in preparing journal entries, general ledger postings, and monthly closing.

• Support the finance team in UAE VAT filings and compliance.

• Follow up on customer payments and coordinate with internal departments.

• Maintain organized financial records and documentation.

• Assist during internal/external audits by providing required reports.

• Perform other accounting and administrative tasks as needed.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.

• 1–3 years of accounting experience (experience in manufacturing or industrial company preferred).

• Strong knowledge of basic accounting principles and UAE VAT regulations.

• Proficient in MS Excel; experience with Tally, QuickBooks, or ERP systems is a plus.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Good communication skills in English (Arabic, Hindi, or Urdu is a plus).
