Job Description

Main Purpose

The primary objective of this position is to provide comprehensive, high-level technical oversight and hands-on support for both Information Technology (IT) and Operational Technology (OT) environments within the ADC facility.

This role serves as the critical link between digital data management and the physical infrastructure required to sustain it, ensuring maximum uptime, security, and operational efficiency.

The incumbent is responsible for the seamless delivery of IT services to end-users, encompassing hardware, networking, and server-side operating systems—while simultaneously acting as the primary custodian of site-specific critical systems.

Key Performance Areas

IT Hardware, Software and Network Deployment

  • Install and configure new IT equipment, including end user equipment and devices
  • Assist with the acceptance of new IT systems, and integration between various IT systems
  • Install and configure operating systems, software, software releases and changes

Critical Infrastructure Operations & Governance

  • Ensure a resilient operating environment, monitor and maintain the following key operational technology platforms such as Building Management Systems (BMS),Electrical Management Systems (EMS),Physical Security Systems
  • Orchestration of third-party vendors, ensuring that external service providers adhere to strict Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and safety protocols

IT and OT Monitoring & Reporting

  • Monitor switches and servers for availability, and ensure that labelling is correct and current
  • Carry out Backup / Restore and Disaster Recovery procedures for IT systems as and when required
  • Respond to critical alerts in accordance with Operational Level Agreements (OLAs)

IT and OT Support

  • Diagnose and resolve software and hardware incidents across a range of applications
  • Provide first line support for users on corporate networks, including cabling, switches, and WiFi
  • Monitor LAN connectivity and LAN points on the site, maintain and repair as directed
  • Resolve reported incidents and clear within Operational Level Agreement (OLA) requirements

Requirements

Job Requirements

  • Degree in IT or Computer Systems
  • Relevant IT Qualifications in Microsoft Windows Server, Linux, Unix, Storage, DHCP, Active Directory, Office 365
  • Relevant IT Qualifications Network – Routing, Switching, Wireless, Security
  • At least 3 years operational IT support experience
  • At least 3 years experience in the IT / Telecommunications industry implementing applications, especially in the areas of Microsoft products, End User Security, Network, ITIL Services
  • Knowledge of IT operational support, IT Services operations and information security and controls.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with diverse range of customers
  • Good customer service and communication skills
