Junior Accountant (Lease Property Experience only)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Junior Accountant with hands-on experience in lease and property accounting to join our finance team. This role is ideal for someone early in their accounting career who has worked with rental properties, lease agreements, and related financial records.

Key Responsibilities:

• Record and reconcile rental income, CAM charges, and lease-related transactions
• Maintain tenant ledgers and lease schedules
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities
• Prepare journal entries related to property operations
• Reconcile bank accounts and property-related expenses
• Track prepaid expenses, accruals, and security deposits
• Assist with accounts payable and receivable for property portfolios
• Support audits and provide documentation related to leases and properties
• Ensure compliance with lease agreements and accounting standards

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 1–3 years of experience in lease or property accounting (required)
• Understanding of lease agreements and rental income accounting
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables preferred)
• Experience with property management or accounting software
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with multiple properties or commercial leases
• Basic knowledge of GAAP related to leases
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
