Description:

We are hiring a Certified Senior Accountant to join our team in Dubai. This is a full-time opportunity for an experienced accounting professional with strong knowledge of UAE financial regulations and hands-on expertise in managing end-to-end accounting operations. The role requires a detail-oriented individual who can independently handle complex financial responsibilities while supporting business growth across retail and F&B operations.

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining compliance with UAE VAT laws, and supporting internal controls and audits. This position also involves close collaboration with multiple departments to improve financial processes and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare, review, and finalize financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and management reports
• Handle accounts payable and receivable, general ledger maintenance, and balance sheet reconciliations
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities with accuracy and timeliness
• Ensure full compliance with UAE VAT laws, including VAT filing and regulatory requirements
• Provide support during internal audits and maintain proper financial documentation
• Monitor and analyze accounting data to ensure consistency, accuracy, and integrity
• Lead and support process improvement initiatives within the finance function
• Assist with inventory accounting and cost control, particularly for retail and F&B operations
• Work closely with cross-functional teams such as retail, operations, and HR to support financial needs

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
• Minimum 5–10 years of accounting experience within the UAE
• Strong knowledge of UAE VAT regulations and local financial compliance standards
• Proficiency in accounting software and financial systems
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational abilities
• High attention to detail with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines
