Job Description
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare detailed CAD drawings for road works, drainage, utilities, and associated infrastructure.
- Convert design concepts, sketches, and survey data into accurate technical drawings.
- Update drawings to reflect design changes, site instructions, and as-built conditions.
- Ensure all drawings comply with KURA specifications, standards, and approved design guidelines.
- Coordinate with engineers, surveyors, and site teams to obtain accurate technical information.
- Maintain proper version control and drawing registers for all project drawings.
- Prepare as-built drawings upon completion of works.
- Support quantity take-offs and measurement activities using CAD drawings where required.
- Participate in design review meetings and incorporate comments from KURA and consultants.
- Ensure timely submission of drawings to meet project timelines.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Technology, CAD, or related field.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (Civil 3D experience is an added advantage).
- Minimum 2–4 years relevant experience in infrastructure or road projects (KURA, KeNHA, or similar).
- Experience working with road alignment, cross-sections, drainage, and utility layouts.
