We’re Hiring: Technical Design Executive – Sampling Department | Dubai

A leading apparel manufacturing company with operations in Kenya and Ethiopia, part of Gokaldas Exports Limited, is looking for a qualified and certified Technical Design Executive to join the Sampling Department in Dubai. The role focuses on garment sampling, fit evaluation, and ensuring high standards across production and sampling stages.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate sample quality including fit, measurements, construction, workmanship, and adherence to brand standards
• Analyze technical data sheets and ensure alignment with buyer requirements
• Collaborate with suppliers and factory technicians to implement corrections and improve sample quality
• Troubleshoot challenges in sampling, pattern-making, and production
• Suggest production-friendly construction solutions and adjustments
• Track sample and fit status for assigned brands
• Provide advice on fabric consumption and modifications during sampling stages

Requirements:

• 5–6 years of experience in technical design or sampling roles in the apparel/garment industry
• Strong knowledge of garment construction, pattern-making, grading, and sewing techniques
• Excellent communication skills to coordinate with merchandisers, buyers, and factory teams
• Degree in Fashion, Textiles, or related field is mandatory
• Attention to detail and technical proficiency
• Vendor certifications from global brands like JCPenney, The Children’s Place, Walmart, etc., are preferred
