JOB CONTEXT
- The Global Financing Solutions Group operates in sectors such as infrastructure, energy, natural resources, real estate and industrial projects across multiple jurisdictions. The Regional Head must navigate regulatory frameworks, country risks and financing structures while coordinating with legal, risk and product teams. The role requires strong relationships with corporates, sponsors, development finance institutions and investors. It demands expertise in financial modelling, due diligence, credit structuring, documentation and syndication. The incumbent must drive innovation in financing, including sustainability‑linked and ESG‑focused structures, and ensure alignment with the bank’s strategic priorities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Business and Financial performance
- Originate a pipeline of financing mandates by identifying opportunities across project finance, structured lending, asset‑backed finance and syndications.
- Drive revenue, fee income and risk‑adjusted returns from financing transactions.
- Lead structuring, negotiation and execution of deals, ensuring optimal terms and risk mitigation.
- Manage portfolio performance and proactively identify opportunities for refinancing, up‑sell or cross‑sell.
- Coordinate with product and coverage teams to leverage financing opportunities for broader client relationships.
Customer Excellence
- Develop and maintain relationships with sponsors, corporates, financial institutions and investors to position the bank as a trusted financing partner.
- Provide expert advisory and structuring guidance to clients, ensuring financing solutions meet their strategic objectives and timelines.
- Ensure timely communication and transparency throughout the transaction lifecycle, from mandate to closing.
- Deliver high‑quality pitch books, term sheets and proposals that clearly articulate value propositions.
- Gather client feedback post‑transaction to improve processes and service delivery.
Leadership and people management
- Lead a team of financing specialists, analysts and deal managers, providing coaching, mentorship and professional development.
- Foster a culture of excellence, collaboration and accountability within the team.
- Assign roles and responsibilities across deal teams to ensure efficient execution and knowledge transfer.
- Work closely with credit, legal, risk and operations teams to ensure alignment and effective risk management.
- Build talent pipelines and succession plans to sustain growth in the financing business.
Process, control and operational performance
- Ensure rigorous due diligence, credit analysis, financial modelling and risk assessment on all transactions.
- Adhere to internal policies, risk limits and regulatory requirements during deal structuring and execution.
- Monitor compliance with covenant and monitoring requirements post‑closing.
- Maintain comprehensive deal documentation, data rooms and records for audit and regulatory scrutiny.
- Continuously improve deal execution processes, leveraging technology and best practices.
Strategic initiatives
- Develop innovative financing structures, including sustainability‑linked, green and blended finance solutions.
- Expand relationships with development finance institutions, export credit agencies and multilateral lenders to mobilise additional capital.
- Identify opportunities in emerging sectors such as renewable energy, digital infrastructure and social projects.
- Participate in industry forums and policy discussions to influence financing market development.
- Align financing activities with the bank’s ESG strategy and contribute to positive social and environmental impact.

JOB PROFILE
Experience & Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering or related field; MBA, CFA or related professional certification preferred.
- At least 12–15 years of experience in project finance, structured finance or investment banking with a track record of leading complex transactions.
- Strong financial modelling, credit analysis and structuring skills.
- In‑depth knowledge of legal, regulatory and documentation aspects of financing.
- Experience working with syndicates, DFIs and institutional investors.
- Proven ability to negotiate and close deals under tight timelines.
- Familiarity with ESG and sustainability standards in financing.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and presentation skills.
