Job Description

Job Purpose:

To coordinate and oversee vendor performance in security-related services, manage security arrangements for corporate events, and provide advanced protection planning and operational support for VIPs and executives and travel security. The role ensures a high standard of security delivery, risk mitigation, and seamless execution of high-profile events and protection missions while mitigating any potential risks or threats

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and supervise contracted security service providers (e.g., guarding, surveillance, access control).
  • Conduct regular vendor performance audits in line with SLAs and banking security compliance requirements (CBK, PCI-DSS, etc.).
  • Manage onboarding, performance reviews, and contract renewals for vendors.
  • Investigate vendor service failures or incidents and drive corrective actions.
  • Lead end-to-end security planning for Group-wide events such as investor forums,
  • CSR launches, Fintech demos, Foundation education scholarship ceremonies, AGMs, and board sessions.
  • Conduct event risk assessments and prepare detailed security operation plans.
  • Coordinate with Group Communications, Event Planners, and Foundation field offices to ensure secure engagement.
  • Oversee deployment of guards, screening equipment, surveillance, and evacuation procedures at events.
  • Coordinate secure travel, convoy planning, advance recon of venues, and deployment of Close Protection Officers (CPOs).

  • Monitor crowd behavior and maintain control over access points, ensuring the safety and orderly flow of attendees.
  • Develop and implement protection strategies for VIPs, senior executives, and high-risk personnel during travel, public appearances, and site visits.
  • Lead protective arrangements during public engagements, media events, or high-risk missions (e.g., visits to post-conflict or rural areas)
  • Liaise with national security agencies, intelligence teams, and local authorities to validate threat intelligence and secure movement routes.
  • Provide or facilitate Hostile Environment Awareness Training (HEAT) for executives where applicable.
  • Provide rapid escalation and coordination in case of threats or emergencies.
  • Maintain event and VIP security logs, incident reports, and vendor evaluation records.
  • Review and update event and protection SOPs in line with evolving risks.
  • Provide monthly and incident-based reports to management on protection operations and vendor performance.
  • Serve in back-up/support capacity for preparation of Physical Security Inspection reports for each facility or location inspected.
  • Working closely with law enforcement and incident response team
  • Regular local travel, including weekend or after-hours duties tied to events or executive schedules.
  • Support evacuation planning and drills related to events and executive protection scenarios.

Qualifications

Qualification & experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in security management, Criminal Justice, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications in Executive Protection, Event Security, e.g., HEAT.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in corporate security, vendor management, or VIP < >rotection or security operations in high-profile NGO or diplomatic missions.
  • Previous experience in law enforcement, military protective services, or private

Key Competencies & Skills

  • Proven ability to manage third-party vendor relationships across multiple services
  • Skilled in organizing high-level, large-scale public and private events with security implications.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong crisis response, judgment, and discretion handling sensitive executive and
