Description:
We are looking for a dedicated Accountant to oversee day-to-day accounting functions while also providing support in administrative coordination. The role involves maintaining accurate financial records using Tally, handling core accounting operations, supporting VAT compliance, managing reconciliations, and coordinating various administrative activities. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organised, and experienced in managing both accounting and administrative tasks in a UAE-based environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounting
- Maintain updated financial records, journals, and entries using Tally software.
- Manage staff payroll, petty cash, expense logs, and ensure all related documents are accurately maintained.
- Assist in preparing VAT returns and organising associated documentation.
- Maintain general ledger accounts and ensure proper tracking of all expenses and income.
- Conduct routine reconciliations, including bank statements and AR/AP accounts.
- Oversee monthly book closing and prepare trial balances.
- Draft essential financial statements such as Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Trial Balance.
- Prepare financial, statistical, and accounting reports on a monthly basis or as requested by management.
- Oversee Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable, ensuring invoices, collections, payments, and follow-ups are handled accurately.
- Issue invoices, receipts, and payroll-related documentation while ensuring timely and correct processing.
Administration
- Manage communication across the office, including calls and emails.
- Assist in procurement coordination and handle vendor-related documentation.
- Maintain and prepare Excel sheets, Word documents, and ensure an organised filing system.
- Ensure internal documents are processed, tracked, and submitted in a timely manner, maintaining accurate database records.
Qualification and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field; candidates pursuing CMA will have an advantage.
- 2 to 4 years of UAE-based experience, ideally in an Accounts cum Admin position.
- Must currently reside in the UAE.
- Strong command of Tally and proficiency in Excel/MS Office.
- Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written.
