We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Store Assistant to support daily store operations within the production facility. The successful candidate will help receive, record, store, and issue materials while ensuring accuracy, proper stock management, and compliance with company procedures.
Job Description
Stock Receiving & Recording
- Receive incoming raw materials, finished goods, and supplies.
- Verify quantities, quality, and documentation (delivery notes, invoices).
- Record stock accurately in the system or stock cards.
Stock Storage & Organization
- Arrange and label materials appropriately within the store.
- Ensure proper storage conditions based on product type.
- Keep the store clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
Issuing & Dispatch Support
- Issue materials to production teams as per approved requisitions.
- Update stock records immediately after issuing.
- Assist with preparing items for dispatch when required.
Inventory Monitoring
- Track stock levels and report shortages, damages, or variances.
- Participate in weekly and monthly stock counts.
- Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records at all times.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain up-to-date stock cards, bin cards, receipts, and issue records.
- Prepare simple daily/weekly reports for the Store Supervisor.
- File documents securely and ensure easy retrieval.
Job Requirements
- Certificate or Diploma in Supply Chain, Stores Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- 1–2 years’ experience in storekeeping or warehouse operations (manufacturing experience is an added advantage).
- Basic knowledge of inventory control and stock handling.
- Proficient in MS Excel; knowledge of ERP/stock systems is an advantage.
- Good communication and record-keeping skills.
