TSC is recruiting teachers to support learning in secondary, junior, and primary schools across the country in line with its mandate to professionalize the teaching service and ensure quality education.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants should:

  • Be registered teachers with the Teachers Service Commission (TSC).

  • Hold the relevant teaching qualifications for the level applied (Primary, Junior School, or Secondary), e.g.:

    • P1 Certificate / Diploma for Primary School positions.

    • Diploma / Degree in Education for Junior and Secondary School positions.

  • Meet the minimum professional and academic requirements as prescribed by TSC for the specific grade and subject combination.

  • Demonstrate good classroom management, communication, and learner support skills.

  • Be ready to serve in any station within the advertised county (for county-specific posts).

  • Adhere to TSC values of professionalism, integrity, and commitment to quality education.

  • The Teachers Service Commission Recruitment Guidelines 2025/2026 Financial Year shall apply.
  • Merit lists generated during this recruitment for both Primary and Secondary Schools will be used in subsequent recruitment processes within the financial year.
  • Shortlisted candidates will be required to present original academic and professional certificates.
  • Successful candidates must not fill more than one Application for Employment Form. Filling of two or more Application for Employment Forms will lead to disqualification.
  • Manual applications will not be considered.
  • Preference will be given to applicants who have not previously been employed by the Teachers Service Commission.
  • Successful candidates will be posted to serve in any part of the country and not necessarily in the county or school where they were interviewed
