Join FusionTek as a Remote Accounting Assistant

FusionTek, a Managed Service Provider with offices in Kirkland, WA, Federal Way, WA, Washington, DC, and Tampa, FL, is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to support its dynamic accounting team. Operating since 2007, FusionTek specializes in IT infrastructure management for small to mid-sized businesses and values teamwork, growth mindset, transparency, and ownership in its employees.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparing financial statements and reports accurately.
  • Perform data entry and maintain organized financial records.
  • Track expenses, cost of goods sold, and other financial entries.
  • Verify and organize accounts payable invoices for processing.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and precise reporting.
  • Communicate with clients and vendors to resolve accounting inquiries.
  • Assist the Controller with additional responsibilities as assigned.

This position follows Pacific Standard Time (PST) to ensure smooth communication with the Controller. FusionTek is open to full-time or part-time candidates, and applicants should specify their preference.

Requirements:

Education:

  • Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent coursework.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years in accounting or related positions.
  • Proficiency with accounting software, preferably QuickBooks Online.
  • Familiarity with the MSP/MSSP industry, particularly IT or cybersecurity firms, is preferred.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced and growing organization.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office tools.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Positive attitude with a solutions-oriented mindset.
