Job Description
Airtel is seeking a dedicated and skilled Cyber Security Engineer to join our dynamic team in Nairobi, Kenya. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and managing security measures to protect our systems, networks, and data.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement security protocols and policies to protect company data.
- Monitor networks for security breaches and investigate violations when they occur.
- Conduct penetration testing to identify vulnerabilities in our systems.
- Install security measures and operate security software.
- Document security breaches and assess the damage they cause.
- Work with IT teams to ensure security software is properly installed.
- Educate staff on network security procedures and best practices.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends and technologies.
Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in IT, Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 3 years proven experience in a similar role within the telecommunications industry is preferred.
- Strong understanding of security protocols, cryptography, and security principles.
- Experience with network security and networking technologies.
- Familiarity with security frameworks and standards.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
