Job Description
  • The project will aim to support the College strengthened knowledge development, enhanced instructor capacity and talent management, refurbishment of infrastructure, upgrade equipment and enhance pro-active communications.  
  • UNODC will launch a gender focused project titles ‘Empowering Every Badge’ which will to support law enforcement officers, particularly women to became integral parts of the criminal justice system in Eastern Africa In liaison with programme managers and using existing layouts and templates to ensure coherent visuals with previous publications, present cohesive, coherent, and creative design for the upcoming publications under the Kiganjo Project, the EEB project and any other TOC project including banners, templates for concept notes, factsheets, reports, notebooks, pocket folders, pens, social media cards. Finalize all digital and print designs in line with decisions elaborated through an iterative consultative process.
  • Ensure that all products, documents, materials, and events give appropriate visibility to respective donors, including the correct application of logos, acknowledgement statement and standard disclaimers.

Qualifications/special skills

  • Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required. 
  • A diploma in graphic design, visual communication, marketing and digital design, information technology, public relations, or related discipline is desirable. 
  • A minimum of 3 years of work experience with graphic design and visual communication is required. 
  • Demonstrated experience with graphic design (Portfolio) is required. Understanding of typography is required. 
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud suits, including Acrobat, InDesign, Illustrator, as well as in Microsoft 365 software is required. 
  • Develop, design and build creative solutions that align with UNODC mandate is desirable

Languages

  • English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. 
  • For this position, fluency in oral and written English is required. Knowledge of another official United Nations Secretariat language is an advantage.
