Job Description
  • The Head of Depots will oversee all depots across the country, ensuring efficient stock management, accountability, and adherence to company standards and policies. The role entails end-to-end responsibility for depot operations, including stock controls, dispatch processes, labour management, reporting, and compliance with Health and Safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure FIFO (First-In-First-Out) principles are followed across all depots.
  • Oversee timely and accurate dispatch of orders, stock management, and control.
  • Conduct monthly and random stock takes, reconciling variances promptly.
  • Manage storage of finished goods (FG) and maintain integrity of cold chain assets.
  • Enforce Health and Safety procedures and ensure compliance across all depots.
  • Supervise correct invoicing, returns control, and accurate posting of stock movements in line with company policies.
  • Drive reduction of stock losses and operational inefficiencies.
  • Lead and manage depot teams to ensure cost-effective and efficient performance.
  • Generate MIS reports and ensure accurate SAP data input for inventory and financial tracking.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or Distribution & Warehousing.
  • Professional certifications such as CIPS, CSCP, or Lean Six Sigma are an added advantage.
  • Additional qualifications in a relevant discipline will be an added advantage.
  • 12 to 15 years of experience in depot or warehouse management within the FMCG sector, preferably in Dairy operations.
