Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Building Manager to oversee the maintenance and operation of our properties in Nairobi. The successful candidate will have a strong background in business and project management, with a focus on real estate and property management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day operations of the building, ensuring smooth functioning and maintenance of facilities.
  • Coordinate and oversee building maintenance and repairs with contractors and service providers.
  • Develop and implement building policies and procedures to ensure efficient operation and safety.
  • Monitor and manage budgets related to building expenses, maintenance, and repairs.
  • Ensure compliance with local laws and regulations related to building management and safety standards.
  • Handle tenant inquiries and complaints promptly efficiently, ensuring high levels of tenant satisfaction.
  • Prepare and submit regular reports on building operations, maintenance, and financial performance.

Requirements

  • Diploma in Business Management, Project Management, Property Management, or a related field.
  • 2 - 3 years proven experience in building management or a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of property management and real estate operations.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with tenants, contractors, and team members.
  • Proficiency in computer applications related to property management.
  • Ability to multitask and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
