The Forklift Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient handling of raw materials, finished paper rolls, and waste paper bales within the paper mill premises. The role involves operating forklifts to transport materials between production lines, storage areas, and loading zones while ensuring adherence to safety, accuracy, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate forklifts to handle paper rolls, waste paper bales, and pallets of finished goods between production, warehouse, and dispatch areas.
• Load and unload containers and trucks with imported waste paper, starch, and finished rolls ensuring proper stacking and balance.
• Transfer finished paper rolls from the rewinder section to designated warehouse bays and label them as per production codes.
• Support container stuffing and de-stuffing operations, ensuring maximum space utilization and preventing product damage.
• Inspect forklift daily (battery level, fuel, hydraulic oil, brakes, etc.) and report any issues immediately to maintenance.
• Maintain accurate movement logs and coordinate with the logistics and ERP team for stock updates.
• Ensure all material handling activities comply with HSE and mill safety protocols.
• Follow standard operating procedures for roll handling using clamp or boom attachments.
• Maintain overall warehouse cleanliness and organization to ensure smooth operations and quick material retrieval.
• Assist in cycle counts, physical inventory verification, and support logistics planning during peak dispatch periods.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Education: High School Certificate or equivalent.
• Experience: Minimum 1–3 years of forklift operation experience, preferably in a paper mill, recycling plant, or heavy manufacturing setup.
• License: Valid UAE forklift operator license.
• Technical Skills:
• Experience handling paper rolls using clamp attachments preferred.
• Knowledge of basic equipment maintenance and inspection procedures.
• Understanding of warehouse documentation and labeling systems.
• Soft Skills:
• Safety-conscious and disciplined.
• Team player with strong communication and time-management skills.
• Physically fit and alert during long shifts.
