Job Description
  • As Head of Retail and Groceries, your primary responsibility will be to identify new business opportunities, develop strategic partnerships, and drive adoption of Bolt Food’s Grocery and Retail solutions. You will lead end-to-end partner launches, onboard and train new partners, and ensure their continued success while streamlining operations for grocery and retail partners.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

  • Identify and secure new business opportunities in the Grocery and Retail sector, including negotiating and closing deals with key partners.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with grocery and retail partners, acting as the primary point of contact and providing operational support to ensure excellent customer experiences.
  • Lead end-to-end partner launches, including on-site onboarding, training, and coordination with internal supportive functions.
  • Monitor partner performance through KPIs, analyse data to identify growth opportunities, and develop actionable strategies to enhance partner success.
  • Develop and implement operational strategies to address commercial and operational challenges, especially during partner expansion and store rollout phases.
  • Prepare and manage budgets, own the P&L, forecast growth trends, and evaluate the achievement of business goals.
  • Stay informed about market trends, competitive dynamics, and new product developments, and contribute to the creation of frameworks and playbooks to optimise business practices.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, product, campaigns, partner operations, and customer service teams to drive business growth and improve partner outcomes.

About you:

  • You have 7–12 years of experience in Grocery/Retail Business Development, Account Management, B2B Sales, or related fields with a proven track record of achieving business growth and sales targets.
  • You hold a Bachelor's degree in Business, Commerce, or a related field.
  • You are fluent in English and the local operational language, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • You have strong negotiation and relationship-building skills, capable of engaging decision-makers and fostering long-term partnerships.
  • You demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills, using data to drive partner success and inform business decisions.
  • You thrive in a fast-paced environment, adapt quickly to change, and proactively implement solution-oriented strategies.
