Job Summary:

Mission for Essential Drugs and Supplies (MEDS) is seeking a highly organized and proactive Inventory Control Officer to join our Kisumu Branch. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and optimizing inventory levels, ensuring accuracy in inventory records, and supporting the overall supply chain operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate inventory records and perform regular stock takes.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with procurement to replenish stock as needed.
  • Ensure proper storage and handling of pharmaceutical products in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Develop and implement inventory control procedures to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Coordinate with the supply chain team to ensure timely delivery of products to various departments.
  • Identify and resolve any discrepancies or issues related to inventory management.
  • Prepare and present inventory reports to management.

Requirements:

  • Diploma in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • 5 years experience in storekeeping or inventory management, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain processes and inventory control techniques.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and MS Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
