Job Overview

Mission for Essential Drugs and Supplies (MEDS) is seeking two diligent and detail-oriented Internal Audit Assistants to join our team in Nairobi. The successful candidates will assist in auditing, reviewing, and ensuring compliance with financial policies and procedures to support the organization's mission of providing essential drugs and supplies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation and execution of various audit projects.
  • Review and evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and compliance processes.
  • Analyze financial data and audit reports to identify discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.
  • Support the development and implementation of audit plans and programs.
  • Document audit findings and prepare reports for management review.
  • Collaborate with other departments to enhance internal control systems.
  • Ensure adherence to MEDS policies and procedures and applicable regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 1 year experience in accounting, auditing, or a similar role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Good understanding of financial regulations and principles.
  • Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
