Job Description
- We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Data Analyst – Payroll & Attendance to manage and reconcile all data related to employee attendance, timekeeping, and payroll processing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring data accuracy between biometric systems and master rolls, preparing reconciliation reports, and generating dashboards that support HR and finance decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect, clean, and validate attendance and payroll data from biometric systems, HRMIS, and manual master rolls.
- Prepare and update daily discrepancy matrices for all employees, highlighting mismatches and missing clock-ins.
- Generate summary sheets showing paid, unpaid, excused, and off days for payroll and HR updates.
- Reconcile data discrepancies between biometric systems and HR records, providing clear comments and status flags.
- Format and maintain Excel-ready payroll data files for seamless HRMIS and ERP uploads.
- Track new hires, exits, and rehires, ensuring dates and attendance records are properly updated.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and analytical reports on attendance trends, absenteeism, sick offs, and leave utilization.
- Prepare disciplinary and KPI reports to support HR actions and performance tracking.
- Collaborate with the HR and Finance teams to ensure payroll accuracy, compliance, and timely processing.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and data integrity across all HR and payroll data sets.
Key Skills and Competencies:
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, Conditional Formatting, Data Validation).
- Strong understanding of payroll, attendance tracking, and leave management processes.
- Experience with biometric attendance systems, HRMIS, or ERP platforms (SAP, Oracle, etc.) preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to interpret data and communicate insights effectively through dashboards and reports.
- High integrity and discretion when handling sensitive employee data
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Analysis, Statistics, HR, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 2–4 years of experience in data analysis, payroll administration, or HR analytics.
- Demonstrated experience reconciling attendance and payroll data is a strong advantage.
- Familiarity with HR data reporting tools and dashboard creation is desirable.
