Responsibilities
- Reporting to the Head, Surgery Department and/or the Medical Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for the diagnosis and treatment of conditions of the urinary tract system focusing on the urethra, urinary bladder, kidneys, and reproductive organs while providing high-quality medical care to patients, utilizing the latest medical techniques and technologies, and working collaboratively within an interdisciplinary & multidisciplinary team to improve patient outcomes.. Additionally, you will be responsible to:

- examine, diagnose and treat patients with conditions and disorders of the genitourinary and urinary system and tracts
- order, perform and interpret appropriate diagnostic test and treatment strategies
- document and review patients' histories
- monitor the effectiveness of treatment plans and adjust to changes in patient conditions
- perform surgical procedures to treat urinary tract and reproductive system diseases and injury when necessary
- use specialized equipment, such as x-rays, fluoroscopes, catheters, RFA, lasers, etc
- educate patients on preventative care and lifestyle changes
- communicate with patients and their families about their conditions and treatment options
- maintain patients’ records and confidentiality in accordance with hospital policies and statutory regulations
- keep up to date on medical research and developments in the field of urology
- comply with jcia patient safety standards in maintaining quality care for patients
- train, mentor junior specialists and supervise postgraduate residents to be able to independently manage patients to a high level of competence
- work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals and support staff to provide comprehensive and patient-centered care
Requirements
- a MBBS or Master of Medicine in Internal Medicine degree from a recognized Institution
- Super Specialty Training or Fellowship qualification in Urology
- a valid practicing License
- a minimum of 4 years post qualification working experience
- aligned with medical education & training and research
- strong interpersonal and leadership traits, with integrity and a commitment to exceptional, patient-centric care in diverse populations
- excellent customer service and critical thinking skills
