Job Description
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Data Collection & Analysis
- Collect and consolidate daily, weekly, and monthly stock and sales data from all shops.
- Analyze sales performance across branches to identify trends, slow movers, and fast movers.
- Generate accurate reports to support inventory planning, replenishment, and forecasting.
Stock Monitoring & Auditing
- Track system stock vs. physical stock to identify variances and investigate discrepancies.
- Conduct regular stock audits (physical counts) across all outlets.
- Monitor stock transfers, returns, damages, and expiries, ensuring proper documentation.
Inventory Management Support
- Provide insights on stock movement to prevent overstocking or stockouts.
- Support the procurement team with data-driven purchase planning.
- Coordinate with shop managers to ensure proper stock handling and record keeping.
Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare and submit periodic reports (daily/weekly/monthly) on stock status, sales trends, and inventory accuracy.
- Maintain updated and organized records of stock audits, sales summaries, and reconciliations.
System Management
- Ensure accurate stock data entry and maintenance in the inventory management system.
- Recommend improvements to data collection and inventory tracking processes.
- Work closely with IT or software teams to resolve system-related stock issues.
KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
- Diploma or Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Statistics, Data Analysis, or related field
- Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in a retail or FMCG environment in a stock/data role
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, lookups) is a must
- Experience with inventory management software or POS systems (e.g., QuickBooks, Zoho, SAP, etc.)
- Strong analytical and numerical skills
- High attention to detail and organizational ability
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
Salary: Kshs. 30,000
