Key Responsibilities
Strategic Engineering & Design
- Lead the conceptual and detailed design of mechanical systems for construction projects, including HVAC, plumbing, drainage, fire protection, compressed air, and water supply systems.
- Ensure all designs align with project specifications, regulatory standards, sustainability goals, and client requirements.
- Develop mechanical engineering strategies that improve system performance, reduce energy consumption, and enhance lifecycle value.
Project Management & Execution
- Oversee mechanical aspects of building and industrial projects from design through commissioning and handover.
- Prepare and review mechanical BOQs, specifications, and tender documents, and support technical evaluations during the procurement stage.
- Supervise on-site mechanical works, ensuring compliance with approved drawings, quality standards, and safety protocols.
- Coordinate with architects, civil engineers, and electrical engineers to ensure full integration of mechanical systems within construction designs.
Systems Analysis & Optimization
- Conduct load calculations, fluid flow analyses, duct sizing, and equipment selection for HVAC and plumbing systems.
- Use simulation and modeling tools (e.g., AutoCAD MEP, Revit, or SolidWorks) to verify designs and optimize system efficiency.
- Perform energy audits and propose efficiency improvements in existing mechanical systems.
Compliance & Quality Control
- Ensure all mechanical systems comply with local and international building codes (ASHRAE, NFPA, BS, or ISO standards).
- Conduct regular inspections, testing, and commissioning of mechanical installations.
- Maintain detailed documentation of mechanical designs, installations, and maintenance schedules.
Leadership & Strategic Contribution
- Contribute to the company’s strategic growth by integrating modern mechanical technologies (e.g., green building systems, smart HVAC, and renewable energy solutions).
- Mentor junior engineers and technicians, promoting continuous professional development and engineering excellence.
- Prepare technical reports, feasibility studies, and cost-benefit analyses for management and clients.
